Peruvian Paths and Adventures is the result of many years of hard work, dedication, and passion for tourism.
Our founder, Edy Huaman Tumpay, was born in the native community of Huayllaccocha, where Quechua was his first language. After moving to Cusco and learning Spanish, he began his career as a porter and cook on the Inca Trail, a role he held for eight years.
Inspired by the travelers and cultures he encountered, Edy studied to become a licensed tour guide and learned English as his third language. He later spent more than ten years guiding routes such as the Inca Trail, Salkantay Trek, Lares Trek, Rainbow Mountain, and Humantay Lake, completing the Inca Trail more than 300 times.
Today, as Founder and General Manager of Peruvian Paths and Adventures, Edy is committed to offering authentic and memorable journeys, sharing Peru’s culture and traditions, and supporting local families through employment and community projects.
